huawei_emoncms

This tool reads out statistics from Huawei GSM/UMTS sticks and sends them to an [emonCMS] (http://emoncms.org/) host. This is a command line tool. It should be run as a cronjob, either as user (crontab -e) or globally (/etc/crontab or from /etc/cron.hourly/).

  • MacOSX: not yet tried

  • Raspi: GSM/UMTS traffic data total and monthly, Raspi core temp

  • BananaPi: not yet tried

  • Linux: not yet tried

  • Prerequisites: libconfig9, libconfig-dev

raspi_internal_emoncms

This tool reads out a Raspi's or BananaPi's internal temperature sensor and sends that value to an [emonCMS] (http://emoncms.org/) host. This is a command line tool. It should be run as a cronjob, either as user (crontab -e) or globally (/etc/crontab or from /etc/cron.hourly/).

  • BananaPi: works, auto-detect of temp sensor

  • Raspi: works, auto-detect of temp sensor

  • Prerequisites: libconfig9, libconfig-dev

raspi_pulsecount_emoncms

This tool senses S0 counter pulses and sends these pulses to an [emonCMS] (http://emoncms.org/) host. Additionally, energy used since the last pulse is sent. This is a command line tool. It should be run from /etc/rc.local (as it needs to monitor the GPIO pin activity) as such: /usr/local/sbin/raspi_pulsecount_emoncms -c /etc/raspiemoncms.conf >/dev/null &

  • BananaPi: not yet tried

  • Raspi: works

  • Connect S0+ to GPIO 4 (P1:07).

  • Connect S0- to GND (P1:09).

  • No external components required, GPIO pull-ups are enabled.

  • Prerequisites: libconfig9, libconfig-dev, [libpigpio] (http://abyz.co.uk/rpi/pigpio/)

wlan_emoncms

This tool read /proc/net/wireless and parses the line identified with the WlanInterface config option. LinkQuality, SignalLevel and NoiseLevel are delivered to emoncms. This is a command line tool. It should be run as a cronjob, either as user (crontab -e) or globally (/etc/crontab or from /etc/cron.hourly/).

  • BananaPi: works

  • Raspi: works

  • Prerequisites: libconfig9, libconfig-dev

dht22_emoncms

This tool interfaces to a DHT22 temperature/humidity sensor connected to the GPIO listed in the config file. The sensor also needs a 3.3V supply from the GPIO header. This is a command line tool. It should be run as a cronjob from /etc/crontab or /etc/cron.hourly/.

  • BananaPi: works

  • Raspi: works

  • Prerequisites: libconfig9, libconfig-dev, [wiringPi] (http://wiringpi.com/)

bme280_emoncms

This tool interfaces to a BME280 temperature/humidity/pressure sensor connected to I2C bus 2. The sensor module from Watterot also needs a 3.3V supply from the GPIO header. This is a command line tool. It should be run as a cronjob from /etc/crontab or /etc/cron.hourly/.

  • BananaPi: works

  • Raspi: not yet tried

  • Prerequisites: libconfig9, libconfig-dev, [wiringPi] (http://wiringpi.com/)
