= CEAL README = CEAL is a C-based language for self-adjusting computation. CEAL extends (a somewhat restricted subset of) C with a small set of primitives that allow programmers to write self-adjusting computations in a manner similar to conventional C programming. CEAL code can both call and be called by conventional C code. == People == The original CEAL project members consisted of: Umut A. Acar (http://umut.mpi-sws.org) and Matthew A. Hammer (http://mpi-sws.org/~hammer). Additional members of the project: Ezgi Cicek (Benchmark applications) -- http://wp.mpi-sws.org/ecicek/ Yan Chen (Run-time support for imperative memory) -- http://www.mpi-sws.org/~chenyan/ Reinhard Munz (Benchmark applications) -- http://sites.google.com/site/munzreinhard/ Mike Rainey (Benchmark applications) -- http://www.mpi-sws.org/~mrainey/ The CEAL source code should contain relevant author information on a file-by-file basis. == Licensing and Copyright == CEAL is copyrighted by the original CEAL project members. It is licensed under the GNU Public License, version 3.0. Requests for alternative licenses should be directed to: ceal-devel@mpi-sws.org Relevant files: COPYING -- the GNU GPL version 3. COPYRIGHT -- a copyright template. == Wiki Resources == We intend to provide complete manuals, how-tos and other user support in wiki form.
