AVR-based PIC24FJ programmer ============================ This code is pretty messy. Why release it? Well, the Microchip PIC Programming Specification is a mess too. Maybe this is useful for someone implementing their own programmer. The scenario: Bus pirate is dead, replacement PIC available, no programmer at hand. But plenty working AVR boards with serial interface. Connections: PA0 <-> PGC PA1 <-> PGD PA2 <-> MCLR Since I used a 5V AVR, the pins are driven OC-style and you need a ~1K pullup resistor to 3.3V on each line. The host program does some funny stuff to test the programmer, and then writes a binary file to the PIC. The binary file should include the configuration words at the end. Tip: You can generate a binary file from .hex using avr-objcopy: avr-objcopy -O binary -I ihex file.hex file.bin Compiling --------- You need to have my libucomm git archive available. URL: https://github.com/x-quadraht/libucomm Init cmake with cmake -DLIBUCOMM_DIR=/path/to/libucomm and everything will work (hopefully).
