KMix and OSS 4

KMix is developed primarily under Linux, which supports OSS3 in the kernel
as standard but normally uses either ALSA or PulseAudio.  The history of the
OSS4 backend is not clear, the last significant code changes being in 2014,
but OSS4 is currently included in the BSD kernel and is also available as
an add-on for Linux from 4Front Technologies (http://opensound.com/oss.html).

Unfortunately the 4Front version of OSS4 appears to be more advanced
compared with the BSD version, with a number of not only macro definitions
but also structure members which are not in BSD.  The OSS4 backend would
have been developed using the 4Front version because it uses these
advanced extensions.

In this release (from commit dbf2ddad), build time tests and compile time
conditionals have been used to try to make the backend compatible with both
4Front and BSD.  This works as far as the KDE GitLab CI system is concerned,
but I do not have a running BSD desktop with Frameworks and Plasma to test
the actual KMix application against.  Any reports from users of BSD with
OSS4 as the primary sound system would be welcomed.

Of course, BSD today also supports ALSA and PulseAudio which may give
better control over sound and stream routing.  If either of these sound
systems are available then they will be used in preference to OSS regardless
of the platform.
