ABOUT
-----

This is the Android SGX DDK UM version 1.8. This DDK contains the
implementation of the different APIs supported by the graphics core including
OGLES 2.0, OGLES 1.1 and EGL 1.4, as well as components required for the
communication with the Android system.

BUILD
-----

Before attempting to build the DDK, please make sure you have an Android
environment successfully built. A build script is provided to build the DDK.

First, setup your Android build environment, where 'myandroidtree' is the
directory containing a built Android repo:

    $ cd ~/src/myandroidtree
    $ source build/envsetup.sh
    $ lunch

    You're building on Linux

    Lunch menu... pick a combo:
         1. full-eng
         2. full_x86-eng
         3. vbox_x86-eng
         4. full_maguro-userdebug
         5. full_tuna-userdebug
         6. blaze_tablet-userdebug
         7. blaze_tablet-eng
         8. full_blaze-userdebug
         9. full_blaze-eng
         10. full_panda-eng

    Which would you like? [full-eng]

Select a product e.g. blaze_tablet
    $ 7

Run the script to build the DDK

    $ ./build_DDK.sh --build release

To build the DDK for a specific SGX core:

    $ ./build_DDK.sh -g [540|544sc|544] --build release

The output binaries will have SGXCORE and SGX_CORE_REV appended
to the name. The library version and SGX core must match.
Libraries built for SGX540 will not work for SGX544sc.

    e.g.: libIMGegl_SGX544_112.so     for OMAP4470 SGX 544sc
          libIMGegl_SGX540_120.so     for OMAP4430/60 SGX 540

You can also build the DDK in debug mode, both kernel and user components need
to be built in this mode

    $ ./build_DDK.sh --build debug

To delete the object files and binaries created:

    $ ./build_DDK.sh --build release clobber

See also

    $ ./build_DDK.sh --help

INSTALL
-------

Install will copy built DDK binaries to an Android file-system layout
location.

If you followed the build steps described above:

    $ ./build_DDK.sh -g [540|544sc|544] --install release

To choose which version of SGX libraries to install you must to pass
the TARGET_SGX flag. Default is SGX540 OMAP4430/60

Will install the DDK binaries in:

    ~src/myandroidtree/out/target/product/blaze_tablet

You can create a new Android system image with the binaries included with:

    $ cd ~/src/myandroidtree
    $ make snod

You would need to reflash the system image on the target

DDK binaries can be installed to an arbitrary location by setting DISCIMAGE

    $ DISCIMAGE=/tmp/bins ./build_DDK.sh --install release

Install of the binaries on the target can be achieved with:
    $ cd /tmp/bins/
    $ adb root
    $ adb remount
    $ adb push system /system/
    $ adb push data /data/

Debug builds
------------

A debug build is performed with the following, ensure the Android FS build
environment is set up as mentioned above:

    $ ./build_DDK.sh --build debug
    $ ./build_DDK.sh --install debug

At this point you either need to either recreate the system image and push it
to the target:

    $ cd ~/src/myandroidtree
    $ make snod; # For an existing built Android repo
    $ adb reboot-bootloader; # Put target into fastboot mode
    $ fastboot flash system

Or you can push the DDK bins (fastest)

    $ mkdir /tmp/ddkbins
    $ DISCIMAGE=/tmp/ddkbins ./build_DDK.sh --install debug
    $ cd /tmp/ddkbins
    $ adb root
    $ adb remount
    $ adb push data/ data/
    $ adb push system/ system/
    $ adb shell sync
    $ adb reboot
