Description

ibus-unikey is an ibus input method engine.
It uses a modified version of UkEngine for processing key events.

Notes
-----

You should use the version provided by your distro's repository.  If
you distro does not have it, contact the authors to get one.

This version of ibus-unikey does NOT work with applications which does
not support text surrounding (e.g. some available terminals).  The
preedit fallback method is being developed to have them supported as
well.

How to build
------------

1. Run autogen in the current directory:

   $ ./autogen.sh

2. Read INSTALL for further bulding information

3. Make:

   $ make

4. Make sure there is no instance of ibus-unikey is running:

   $ ps aux | grep ibus-engine-unikey

   Pay attention to the PID of the `ibus-engine-unikey' process and
   kill it with:

   $ kill ibus_engine_unikey_pid

   if this does not work, it's probably due to lack of permission, try:

   $ sudo kill ibus_engine_unikey_pid

   or this:

   $ su -c 'kill ibus_engine_unikey_pid'

   if your system only supports `su'.

5. Run the engine:

   $ src/ibus-engine-unikey --ibus

   Press Ctrl-C if you want to quit.

5'. If you want to run the engine on the clean background, run this
    instead of step 5:

   $ src/ibus-engine-unikey --ibus >/dev/null 2>&1 & disown
