## Welcome to MaNGOS2 ##

MaNGOS2 is a free, Open Source implementation of a game server compatible with
the original World of Warcraft client. Please see the file COPYING for license
details.

MaNGOS2 was based off the last release from Team OpenWoW, published on 14th May
2005, and has been extended to support all features which currently are
supported by the MaNGOS1 series.

For further information on the MaNGOS2, please visit our [project web
site](http://getmangos.com/). Our Wiki site provides you with valueable
information on almost any topic regarding MaNGOS and related projects.

## Further readings ##
Documenation on various development related topics can be found in the doc/
subdirectory, including Doxygen-generated API documentation.

The required SQL files for creating the database backend are included in the
sql/ subdirectory.

## Building and Installing ##
In order to build and install MaNGOS2 under Linux, follow the instructions
described in the INSTALL.GNU file.

In order to build and install MaNGOS2 under Windows, follow the instructions
described in the INSTALL.Win.txt file.
