The original Navy SEALs: Covert Operations Gold Edition source code did
not compile and used Mod APIs not compatible with the Quake 3 engine.
The NSCO: Gold Edition engine and data have not been released. I ported
the source code back to running as a Quake 3 mod and restored the ability
to play using the NSCO Beta 1.93 data files.
There are minor bug fixes as well. I have not compared NSCO Beta 1.93 and
this code for game play differences however. The incompatible 'Gold Edition'
data changes can be re-enabled by defining NSCO_GOLD
. My original goal
was porting the mod to run on the Enemy Territory engine, available in the
enemyterritory
branch, which was commissioned by The OS FPS/TPS project
and released in 2015 as NSCO ETL mod on moddb. ~Zack Middleton
