                     SOPT: Sparse OPTimisation
                SARA algorithm for sparsity averaging
  ----------------------------------------------------------------

DESCRIPTION
This is a C implementation of the SARA algorithm presented in:
    [1] R. E. Carrillo, J. D. McEwen, D. Van De Ville, J.-P. Thiran,
and Y. Wiaux. "Sparsity averaging for compressive imaging", IEEE
Signal Processing Letters, Vol. 20, No. 6, pp. 591-594, 2013
    (arXiv:1208.2330).

AUTHORS
  R. E. Carrillo (http://people.epfl.ch/rafael.carrillo)
  J. D. McEwen (http://www.jasonmcewen.org)
  Y. Wiaux (http://basp.eps.hw.ac.uk)

EXPERIMENTS
To run an in-painting reconstruction example, run the
script sopt_demo1 in the bin folder.

To run a Fourier sampling reconstruction example, run the
script sopt_demo2 in the bin folder.

INSTALLATION
To install the toolbox, the FFTW toolbox (www.fftw.org) and the
TIFF toolbox (www.remotesensing.org/libtiff/) must be installed.
A makefile is provided to build the code. Before compiling you
might need to edit the makefile to specify your compiler and the
location where the dependencies are installed. Once these are
installed you just need to type

  %make all

  to install the toolbox.

SUPPORT
If you have any questions or comments, feel free to contact Rafael
Carrillo at: rafael {DOT} carrillo {AT} epfl {DOT} ch.

NOTES
The code is given for educational purpose. For
the matlab version of the code see the folder matlab.
