Lightpad

A modified version of the original Lightpad

This fork aims to implement some kind of awesome c++-completion

A simple editor, based on keyboard shortcuts

Lightpad is a simple text editor, based on a keyboard-based workflow: there are no graphical elements besides the tabs and the source view. This means that there are no buttons or menus. There never will be.

Lightpad tries to stay compatible with GEdit shortcut-wise. To help you get going, here is a list of standard GtkSourceView key combinations as well as some GEdit specific onces. Of course, keyboard shortcuts for features Lightpad does not have are not implemented (such as spell checking and printing).

Disclaimer: this README is written with Lightpad! ;)

Installation

The only dependencies required to build and run Lightpad, are GTK3 and GtkSourceView.

Once the ridiculous amount of dependencies are installed, just run these commands to build and install Lightpad:

$ make

A great help at things I could not figure out myself has been Olivier Brunel - thank you for your help!
