Optimization of new physics searches (in terms of signal/background significance) using a Genetic Algorithm.

This tool was done as a project for a PhD computing course, and was tested in the SUSY to photon + jets + MET analysis in the ATLAS experiment using Run2 data.

To run the example you need to download the following file:

Use configuration file from example/example.conf as a template for your configfile and:
