INSTALL
Unix
Refer the INSTALL-UNIX file for installation directions.

BSD
Refer the INSTALL-FREEBSD file for installation directions.

Windows/Cygwin
Refer the INSTALL-WINDOWS-CYGWIN file for installation direction on Windows platform having Cygwin installed

Solaris
Refer the INSTALL-SOLARIS file for installation directions.
