igus® GmbH in Cologne started developing a joint construction kit for robots in 2009. The basic idea consisted of a bionic joint with 2 degrees of freedom that works similar to a human elbow. Rotating and pivoting motions driven by tendons (or ropes). Since 2011, igus® has sold this product group world-wide under the product name robolink®.
Die igus® GmbH in Köln hat 2009 damit begonnen einen Gelenkbaukasten für Roboter zu entwickeln. Grundidee war ein bionisches Gelenk mit 2 Freiheitsgraden, welches ähnlich wie ein menschlicher Ellebogen arbeitet: Drehen und Schwenken, angetrieben durch Sehnen (bzw. Seile). Seit 2011 wird diese Produktgruppe unter dem Produktnamen robolink® von igus® weltweit vertrieben.
The joints can be generally moved by various drives. One option consists of stepper motors supplied by igus®. In cooperation with the Institute for Information Technology VI at Bonn University (Prof. Behnke), software was developed in 2012 that allows articulated arms to be operated with up to 6 degrees of freedom. The objective was to create simple, intuitive control software that can be used to create and store motion control programs.
Grundsätzlich können die Gelenke mit unterschiedlichen Antrieben bewegt werden. Eine Möglichkeit sind Schrittmotoren von igus®. In Zusammenarbeit mit dem Institut für Informatik VI an der Universität Bonn (ais, Prof. Behnke) wurde 2012 eine Software entwickelt, die es ermöglicht Gelenkarme mit bis zu 6 Achsen anzusteuern. Ziel war es, eine einfache, intuitive Steuersoftware zu kreieren, mit der Bewegungsprogramme erstellt und gespeichert werden können.
Starting April 2013, igus® will make this software available as Open Source software under the BSD license (http://de.wikipedia.org/wiki/BSD-Lizenz).
igus® stellt diese Software ab April 2013 als Open Source Programm unter der BSD Lizenz (http://de.wikipedia.org/wiki/BSD-Lizenz) zur Verfügung.
