Summary

This directory contains Microblaze hardware reference designs for
a fast startup phase of your own designs and as a base for further
developments.

The development of MB-Ref is closely to Xilinx EDK: some parts of
the configuration modules are dependent on different version of
Xilinx EDK and SDK.

Status

In general, all designes in directory "working-designs" are designs
with working in progress. I try to hold the content in a ready to
use state with every commit.

Names and Spelling

The "official" name of this project is "MB-References". The spelling
"MB-Ref" shall be used in all written text (documentation, comments
in source files etc.). Example:

This is the README file for the MB-Ref project.

File names etc. shall be based on the string "mbref". Examples:

	cd <anywhere>/mbref/working-designes

Variable names, preprocessor constants etc. shall be either based on
the string "mbref" or on "MBREF". Example:

	set mbref_version "2010.10"

	#define MBREF_VERSION "2010.10"

Versioning

MB-Ref uses a 2 level version number containing a major version, and
a minor version: MB-Ref-2010.10" means major version "2010", minor
version "10". Of course, the major version follows the current number
of year and the minor version the current number of month.

Optionally there is a third level named patchlevel. The patchlevel is
used to indicate certain stages of development between released
versions, i. e. officially released versions of MB-Ref will always
have a patchlevel of "0" (blank/nothing).

Packaging

Development packages

All development will going up inline of the Git development branch:
