1. Introduction
The smis-providers contains the providers to instrument the Volumes & Snapshots on the Linux filesystem.
These are based on SNIA's SMI-S v 1.2 Volume Management profile & Copy Services profile respectively.

2. Instrumented Classes and Associations
	2.1 OMC_CompositeExtent
	2.2 OMC_LogicalDisk
	2.3 OMC_StorageCapabilities
	2.4 OMC_StorageConfigurationCapabilities
	2.5 OMC_StorageConfigurationService
	2.6 OMC_StorageExtent
	2.7 OMC_StoragePool
	2.8 OMC_StorageSettingWithHints
	2.9 OMC_SystemStorageCapabilities
	2.10 OMC_AllocatedFromStoragePool
	2.11 OMC_BasedOn
	2.12 OMC_CompositeExtentBasedOn
	2.13 OMC_HostedStorageConfigurationService
	2.14 OMC_HostedStoragePool
	2.15 OMC_LogicalDiskDevice
	2.16 OMC_StorageConfigurationElementCapabilities
	2.17 OMC_StorageElementCapabilities
	2.18 OMC_StorageElementSettingData
	2.19 OMC_AssociatedComponentExtent
	2.20 OMC_AssociatedRemainingExtent
	2.21 OMC_StorageSettingsGeneratedFromCapabilities

	2.26 OMC_StorageVolumeAllocatedFromStoragePool
	2.27 OMC_StorageVolumeBasedOn
	2.28 OMC_StorageVolumeDevice

3. Requirements & Dependencies
    	3.1 autoconf
    	3.2 automake
	3.3 gcc
	3.4 gcc-c++
	3.5 libsblim-cmpiutil
    	3.6 sblim-cmpi-base
    	3.7 sblim-cmpi-devel
    	3.8 sblim-cmpiutil-devel
    	3.9 yast2-storage
	3.10 yast2-storage-devel
    	3.11 sblim-sfcb should be running

4. Configuration
For the provider to work correctly, the configuration file, i.e. smsetup.conf, should be located at "/etc" directory.
A dummy file is already copied under /etc directory. Make neccessary changes to this file to reflect the storage configurations of the host system.

5. Known Issues
4.1 ModifySynchronization (Resync & Rollback) for Snapshot Replica is not supported.
4.2 Snapshots can be only created on the same Storage Pool as the source volume.
4.3 Multiple InPools for creation on a Logical Disk/ Storage Volume is not supported.
4.4 Shrinking of Storage Pools is not supported.
4.5 Creation of following is not supported:
4.5.1 Concrete Storage Pool from Concrete Storage Pool.
4.5.2 Storage Pool/volume from Storage Extents.
4.5.3 Storage Volume from Primordial Storage Pool.
